Dosing devices according to the “Loss in Weight” principle are suitable for the exact dosage of liquids, pastes and bulk materials such as powders, granules, fibers etc. The output unit is adapted to the medium to be dosed. For devices based on this principle, the dispensing container with product and the output unit is weighed over a weighing platform or in a weighing frame.
The weight loss per unit of time from this system corresponds to the dosing power.
The dispensing container is cyclically filled with product by a mechanically decoupled refill container. At take-off or after refilling, a weight set point calculator takes over the weight measurement and immediately starts to calculate the decreasing system weight, depending on the set set set point. By constantly comparing the decreasing weight-actual value with the prescribed weight-bearing tariff value, the indicator for the drive is regulated instantly.
This method is called integral dosing and offers great advantages of accuracy compared to market differentiation (high short-term accuracy < +/-0.5%).
